Dipl.-Soz. Christian Haag

Christian Haag studied Sociology at the Otto-Friedrich University in Bamberg and the National University of Ireland in Galway. He specialised on empirical methods, demography, organisational psychology and family and the life course. Christian Haag completed his Diploma-thesis in March 2010. It is based on data of a recent study at the State Institute for Family Research at the University of Bamberg (ifb), where he had been working as a student assistant since 2007.

Beginning in April 2010, Christian Haag joins the staff of the Chair of Sociology I, teaching undergraduate students. His scientific interests lie in the wide range of family sociology, currently focused on the wish to parent and corresponding plans for parenthood among homosexual women and men.
From June to December 2010 Mr. Haag also joins the staff of the ifb, helping to analyse their recently collected data on the life situation of homosexual women and men in Germany.
